Veremark
Veremark automates and simplifies reference and background checks to deliver fast and trustworthy insights on new hires at an affordable price.
The Brief.
The MVP was up and running but with some usability issues combined with an inconsistent user interface. I was asked to make the employer web-app fully responsive and mobile optimised.
Fix typography and visual hierarchy issues within the current employer web-app pages and set light rules.
After this was complete we would then look to use the rules established to update the candidate and referee journeys and all future features.
The Brand.
I developed the visual brand by trimming down the existing colour palette to a consistent set, defined the typographic hierarchy whilst creating a brand guidelines document that included general user interface rules. This helped define a design system that facilitated the creation of new features.
The Design System.
The web app was designed around a 12 column grid where components would take either 1/3 or 2/3 of the main container. On adapting to mobile, the components could easily fold into a list view without a major redesign.
The app.
Standalone blockchain app.
The digital passport feature was designed as a standalone mini web-app to be present on a network of verified profiles on blockchain. Users have the ability to share a link to their passport, choose what’s public and what’s private. Employers can also request to unlock information that’s not accessible or download a copy for their records.
Final note.
Veremark is now successfully running and is trusted by a number of world class companies such as Octopus Deploy, Adecco, Kuehne+Nagel along many others.
